Keyboard Jedi++ (Log keyboard shortcuts per application)
Same as Keyboard Jedi from RoyO here http://osherove.com/blog/2007/6/3/train-to-be-a-keyboard-master-with-keyboard-jedi.html
But with the ability to log the used keyboard shortcuts per application.
Upload them on www.KBJD.com
On the webpage we could:
#1 Collect app specific shortcuts
from Liam http://hackingon.net/post/KeyRef-e28093-A-Keyboard-Shortcut-Reference-Site.aspx
#2 Show statistics and give clues for new shortcuts.
"Hey. 25 people have used 'Ctrl+J' in 'VIM'. You might give that a go!"
PS: Not sure if people feel comfortable with keyboard shortcuts uploaded to the web...
Carnac (http://code52.org/carnac/) is what we called this, and we got a good portion of it done.
No website yet, but thats for “week2+”

Discussed this idea in the JabbR room and we'd like to take the best concepts from it and from the tool being used here (unsure on the name of it): http://vimeo.com/channels/katacasts#7961506
Some things discussed:
- can we have this running in the background and export the shortcuts to a video editing program?
- can we track statistics so that users can see how often the spend backspacing/navigation/using mouse over keyboard etc
- why not display each keystroke (presenter mode) so that people can follow along in real-time?
